Allow me to introduce myself...
Hi! My mission in life is to attack every day with enthusiasm and serve others through my skills in education, research, creativity, strategy, and the performing arts. I’m an Education and Marketing professional with an empathetic and energetic communication style that bridges the needs of learners, stakeholders, organizations, and communities in both my personal and professional life. Whether acting as mentor, advisor, instructor, or collaborator, I have an unwavering commitment to understanding industry, market, and consumer factors through research and innovative leadership. I use that commitment to engage learners of all types to foster connection, collaboration and motivation.
I owe my success, in large part, to my arts background. As a dancer, I learned early on the necessary skills of adaptability, tenacity, creativity, team collaboration, and critical thinking. As a choreographer, I create routines that highlight my dancers' strengths and challenge them because, ultimately, the piece is created especially for them. This kind of approach is the same philosophy I demonstrate in my work where I focus on the individuality and uniqueness of each person/organization/situation to help them find and tell their narrative. We all have a brand or a story, and sometimes need an outside perspective to bring it to life. My lifelong drive to help people express their creativity and expand their potential has enabled me to consistently produce outcomes that I’m proud of and have been recognized for.
I enjoy participating and appreciating the arts - music, performing arts, all of it!; fitness (member of Orange Theory Fitness since 2017); reading (huge audiobook fan); traveling; service (a big highlight was volunteering for the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics); meeting others from various lifestyles (good thing I work with thousands of students from around the world!); trying to stay in-the-loop on TV and movies; current events (local, national, and international); and trying new food and drinks.
I was born and raised in Williston, North Dakota and moved to the Phoenix, Arizona area in 2015. I live with my husband in Tempe and am a proud parent of two fluffy pups: Benji, a 7 year old Siberian Husky and Polly, a 18 month old Shih Tzu-Poodle.
